About us

We are a small group of bible believing Christians who love the Lord Jesus.  We are called to live out our Christian lives in Carlton, Nottingham and we meet together regularly for open worship, bible teaching and fellowship.  We believe that church is a community of God's people, a family, who are committed to sharing each others lives and encouraging each other in their walk of faith.  We enjoy gathering together in our church building to share in times of open worship where there is opportunity to share a testimony, bible passage or just to ask for a hymn or song.  We share communion together on a Sunday morning and have biblical based teaching in both our morning and evening meetings.

What We believe

  • We believe in the Trinity; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; these three are one God

  • We believe that God is good, and worthy of our love and worship

  • We believe that everyone was created by God, in the image of God, to live in communion with God

  • We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and from His purpose for our lives

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is the only One who can bring us back to God.

  • We believe that He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to conquer the power of sin and death

  • We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live the life God wants for us

  • We believe that salvation is the free gift of God and that it must be accepted personally through true, living faith in Jesus Christ

  • We believe that all those who have received new birth make up the true Church, whatever their creed, age or nationality

  • We believe that the goal of every believer is to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to God’s Word

  • We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that it is divinely inspired, authoritative and is to be used for encouragement, guidance and correction

  • We believe that everyone needs to hear the Gospel

  • We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

  • We believe that all men and women, being created in the image of God, have inherent and equal dignity and worth. Their greatest purpose is to obey, worship and love God. God created us male and female, which is identified by our biological sex. Marriage is the exclusive union of one man and one woman and is a picture of the relationship between Christ and His bride, the church. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed only within the context of marriage.
